What SoloTrack is, in one paragraph

SoloTrack is a native iOS flight logbook designed for student pilots from pre-solo through checkride. It combines fast flight logging with real-time tracking against the FAA's Part 61 private-pilot requirements: the six FAR 61.109 aeronautical-experience categories, FAR 61.57 day/night/instrument currency, and the FAR 61.56 flight review window. Daily use works fully on-device with no account required; iCloud sync is available as an opt-in.

SoloTrack is not a flight planner, EFB, or replacement for instructor judgement. It is a logbook focused on accurate hours, clear progress, and clean records you can hand to a CFI or DPE.

Frequently asked questions

What platforms does SoloTrack support?
SoloTrack is iOS-only. There is no watchOS or macOS companion app. The iPad version uses a sidebar layout; iPhone uses tab navigation.
Does SoloTrack work offline?
Yes. Daily use is fully on-device. SoloTrack uses a local SwiftData store inside an App Group container, so logging, currency calculations, widgets, App Shortcuts, and the Live Activity timer all work without a network connection or account.
How does iCloud sync work?
iCloud sync is opt-in. When enabled, SoloTrack uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your flights and templates across your own devices using your Apple ID. Onboarding state, custom airports, notification memory, and timer state stay local. We do not run our own server.
What FAA requirements does SoloTrack track?
SoloTrack tracks the six FAR 61.109 aeronautical-experience categories required for the private pilot certificate, FAR 61.57(a)/(b)/(c) day, night, and instrument currency, and the FAR 61.56 flight-review recency window. SoloTrack is a logbook tool, not a regulatory ruling — always confirm requirements with your CFI and the current FARs.
How does SoloTrack Pro work?
SoloTrack is free to download and offers SoloTrack Pro subscriptions for full access. Subscriptions renew through your App Store account and can be managed or canceled in Apple ID Subscriptions. See the Terms of Use for the current terms.
How is my data handled?
SoloTrack is local-first, uses Apple frameworks for local storage and optional iCloud sync, and uses RevenueCat for App Store subscription status and purchase restoration. SoloTrack does not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. See the Privacy Policy for details.
